Samsung extends financial wellness support to Irish employees

Samsung, the global technology leader, has extended financial wellness support to its employees based in Ireland, in conjunction with nudge.

Samsung who first launched Financial Wellness support to their 1,400 employees based in the UK in February 2016, decided to extend this support to their growing Dublin office in August 2018.

Danielle Starbuck, Head of Reward at Samsung says: “The growing number of leading global employers attracted to Ireland is helping to fuel the war for talent and is raising the bar on what employee benefits packages consist of. At Samsung, we want to ensure that we are offering a similar package of benefits to our colleagues in Ireland as we do in the UK.”

The new financial wellness programme was launched with an interactive Masterclass provided by nudge.

The Financial Education service provided by nudge in Ireland uses Irish specific content and benchmarking data to make money simpler in two ways:

  • A personalized platform that provides financial education posts and ‘Dreams and Goals’ action plans.
  • Personalised ‘nudges’ providing tips, tricks, guidance and actions in line with lifestyle, legislative or company events.

Danielle continues: “It’s important to us to have a consistent approach to health and wellness and to offer our people the support they need to make managing their money simpler. We’re delighted to be the first of the world’s top 10 technology companies to offer personalized financial wellness support to our people in Ireland”.
